Saturday 5th of April our illustrious 3rd XV team led by our great captain Ben Perowne will play Diss 2nds/3rds @ Holt RFC 3.00pm , we have decided to use this opportunity to play for the Harrison Cup.

The Harrison cup was the idea of Edward, Richard, John Harrison and Benny Gaze, Sam Baskerville of Diss. to compete for the cup on an annual basis, both clubs did not want to lose their friendship following the formation of eastern counties competitive leagues going as far back as the 1980’s. This was in the past a significant fixture in both of Diss and Holts calendars.

Holt and Diss 1st XV who are in different leagues and following an arduous league campaign for both clubs , gives the opportunity to the club’s 2nd and 3rd XV to compete for the cup.

Edward, Richard, John, and Mark have been major contributors to Holt since the 1960’s they have been 1st XV captains, Chairman, Presidents, and many other roles within Holt RFC committees. We lost Edward in 2019; Richard Mark and John are thankfully still with us and their descendants are also great supporters of Holt.
